Bodega Head, 2006

Bodega Head is mostly known for offering extraordinary views of whale migrations, which is why most people visit. While the whales are exciting, there are also small, often overlooked, regions of erosion that change from year to year. Some of these regions still have a few remnants from Native American ceremonies, though most shards have been carried off by visitors. This image was taken in 2006 and, due to later erosion, is essentially no longer there.
